Northern Ireland's premier Trout fishery


 

Rules

No dogs allowed around the fishery.

ALL Anglers are not allowed to carry or consume alcohol on site.


All fish above 5lb in weight must be returned.


These larger fish must be returned quickly to the water and not be kept lying on the bank for the purposes of taking photographs.


All fish which are to be returned must not be trailed over the stones or hard surfaces; they must be unhooked in the water or carefully landed using a net and returned to the water quickly after the hook is removed.


Anglers are not permitted to kill fish to fill another angler’s bag.


There must be no fly fishing in the bait pond.


Anglers on the fly lake are not permitted to use power bait, maggots, worms, spinners or food stuff of any kind.


 

No boobies, egg flies, flicker spoons, or flies with more than one hook.


 

All bags and equipment will be searched routinely when moving between the fishery and car park.


 

Anglers are only permitted to fish with one rod at a time.


 

There can be no marking of spaces by using fishing bags or rods, if you leave your place you loose your space to the next angler.


 

Boat anglers must wear lifejackets at all times and must not encroach on the bank anglers.


 

Anyone found breaking these rules will be barred from the fishery.
